I drew this a while ago and didn't have time to scan it until now. As you can see I totally didn't follow my original plan of making this a simple comic like drawing and went all out with detail and even attempted a bit of shading.

Basically what I was trying to portray here is the fact that the Prince is holding his two swords behind him and that gives the impression that he has horns. It would look better if I had made it simpiler like I originally planed so I could have added some color to make it easier to show what I was trying to portray.

The Eagle Sword there on the bottom was just an afterthought, something I was drawing for the heck of it.

It's all crap and out of proportion as far as I'm concerned, should just put this in my scrap folder.

I love the concept of the horns it looks quite cool. He is a bit out of proportion but it's a good start for figure drawing. I think it might help you if you try and use a stick figure drawing as your base and then build up on top of that. I've started drawing in this manner and I've found it helps you alot with perspectives and proportions. If you don't know what I'm talking about then here's a couple of tutorials that may help:

Drawing this way should help you a lot although it can get messy!
Cheers.
I've seen tips like that several times and I know it helps to draw like that starting with basic shapes and bulding up its just something I've never really done. Partly because it does make the picture rather messy and jumbled, but I guess if I plan on inking it it doesnt matter cuz I can just erase the excess before scanning it.

Yeah it can get rather messy but it really does pay off. I drew a lot of people yesterday when I went to do my freelance work and it really helped drawing the basic shapes first I would have been screwed otherwise! It's defintely worth it, esspecially if you ink over the top!!
